Project Brief

Kyoto Candle Company is an e-commerce brand offering organic aroma candles that encapsulate the culture and fragrances of Kyoto, Japan. The objective was to globalize this traditional heritage through modern branding and product packaging, ensuring the design accurately represented Japanese culture.

Challenge

The challenge was to create a visual identity that felt authentic and tranquil. This was achieved by integrating cultural elements like bamboo paper textures, watercolor illustrations, and product names rendered in Kanji logographic scripts. The resulting product and packaging design system is crafted to be visually soothing, evoking a positive feeling of happiness and relaxation.
